From the traffic system’s point of view, invoicing means getting the invoice out the door to the client. We extend this to define electronic invoicing as “sending a radio station invoice to the end client or agency without having to print it to paper, stuff an envelope or use the post office.”
The traffic system will record how each clients wants to receive invoices: printed/mailed, or email. When invoices are generated, the system will distribute each one as specified. Electronic invoices reduce station costs by reducing paper, postage and envelope handling costs each month. Electronic invoices reduce costs for clients who receive the invoice and potentially other valuable information in an effortless manner, directly to the person responsible for the invoice.
Actual electronic invoice transmission is accomplished by initial implementation of Business-to-Business (B2B) distribution software, which Marketron will expand to meet other needs as identified by stations and groups.
This approach represents the first step in meeting the needs of potential electronic invoicing users, and is a big step in reducing station cost while increasing productivity and profitability.
