Some computer manufacturers are now selling servers and workstations with 64-bit processors. In order to take advantage of the newer 64-bit processors, Microsoft has released specialized versions of their operating systems. The newer operating systems are only the beginning. Most applications will also need to be changed to be able to effectively run on a 64-bit platform.
At the present time, Marketron Broadcast Solutions does not recommend or guarantee the use of 64-bit operating systems with any of our products. We do plan to offer 64-bit compatible versions of our products in the near future. A client bulletin will be issued once we have tested and certified our products to work with 64-bit operating systems.
Microsoft currently has special 64-bit versions of both Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP. Both are designated as an "x64 edition". Contact your computer systems vendor for more information.
